I went to work for Crompton Parkinson in Doncaster at the age of 18 and when my boss asked me if I wanted to become an engineer, coming from an all-girls school I almost said "What's one of those" but instead I said "Yes please!" I worked as a technician in the Design & Development laboratory, testing gear and fittings and carrying out Photometrics and was sent to study Electrical Engineering at Doncaster Technical College (I was the first woman to do so). I then spent 15 years with Philips Industries, moving up through the organisation to become Chief Buyer for the Mullard Mitcham factory, then Senior Marketing Engineer in the IT Division and finally Senior Sales Engineer, Key Professional Accounts at the head office in London. I then spent 5 years with Ottermill Switchgear selling LV & HV Switchboards, Motor Control Centres and Busbar Trunking. For the past 11 years I have been an agent for Cryselco Lighting, where I have been able to put the technical & commercial skills I have learned into making the area successful and building up my own business. I work out of a rented office / store room and warehouse in Haywards Heath, just one mile from my home. Any customers are welcome to come along and view working Cryselco samples.

I can work from CAD drawings (preferred as quickest) or sketches, whatever you have available and I will email, post or fax comprehensive results to you for your presentations.
